Wirral is home to vibrant, energetic and engaged communities, people who take real ownership of their local area and are passionate about making Wirral a better place. The council and its partners have pledged to #BeTheDifference.

We’ve got ambitious targets to meet by 2025. To achieve everything we have promised to our residents, we need people who are driven and ready to deliver the very best for our communities - #BeTheDifference.

In this role, you will help the Authority to carry out its responsibilities towards children who are electively home educated and to ensure that suitable full-time educational provision is in place for all Wirral children.  You will initiate contact with home educating parents and carers in order to enquire about the arrangements they have in place for their children's education, and also to offer advisory support where needed.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can establish respectful and trusting relationships with families.

You will need to have qualified teacher status.

Above all, you will be looking to improve the way we engage with our families to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.

For more information please contact Caroline Henderson - 0151 6665203

This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home. In future, the Council will be moving to a hybrid of working arrangements for many of our roles with a combination of homeworking, office and site working as required.
