We are looking for a dynamic individual to work alongside our Cradle to Career team, delivering services in North Birkenhead.


To assist in the promotion of community involvement in children's play activities in the Cradle to Career area. To enhance the current play provision and explore ways of creating new and exciting play opportunities in the area.


The vacant post is on a fixed-term contract of 2 years.


Candidates should hold NVQ 2 Qualification in Playwork or equivalent. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate experience of working with children aged 6 - 14 in a play setting communicating with children and parents. You'll need to be qualified in Playwork or equivalent and have experience working in a play setting.


Your experience should include Experience/Knowledge of Open Access play provision or youth settings. Understanding the individual developmental needs of vulnerable children and young people. Managing children's and young people's behaviour in various situations. You will be looking to improve the way we engage with our employees, residents and customers to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.


This post is subject to Enhanced Level DBS check.


This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home.  In future, the Council will be moving to a hybrid of working arrangements for many of our roles with a combination of homeworking, office and site working as required.
