An exciting opportunity has become available for a CPP Procurement Specialist position at Wirral. The post is fixed term 12 months, covering the Category of Regeneration and will be full time. Secondments can also be considered.

 

The post holder will support the Senior Category Manager in the management of the Regeneration category portfolio and the category plan, providing best practice procurement in the use of information systems, including e-procurement solutions. Above all this will deliver business benefits to the organisation and to implement procurement controls that enable the council to operate compliantly and proficiently in the category management of contracts.

 

Some key day to day duties will involve:

 

> Liaise with commissioners in the development of business case and service specification. documents that enable best service provision fit by means of options appraisal methodology.

 

> Attend consultation processes with stakeholders and commissioners at all levels.

 

> Implement best practice contract management as directed by the Senior Category Manager in partnership with commissioners.

 

> Provide market testing and obtain market intelligence for the procurement category portfolio.

 

> Support efficiencies through all aspects of procurement.

 

The candidate will have be full MCIPs (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or in their final year of qualification.

 

Your experience will include working in a procurement, finance and commissioning environment. Also experience of electronic systems administration and operation is required, including Tendering Portal

 

You will have a good standard of personal, organisational and planning skills, and be able to act on your own initiative.
