We are looking for a Manager to lead Wirral’s busy Payroll teams; providing payroll and transactional HR services to the council, schools and academies as well as external organisations, with a combined workforce of 10,000 employees.

This is a key leadership role. Joining our Human Resources and Organisational Development Management team you will provide strategic, professional advice and guidance on all payroll matters and work collaboratively with colleagues to drive and implement our ambitious service improvement plans.

You will lead the development and delivery of efficient, customer focussed payroll services, operating in a commercial environment and identifying income generation opportunities whilst ensuring compliance with policy, statutory and legislative frameworks and industry best practice.

You will be a strong collaborator with the ability to influence, develop and maintain trusting relationships with a range of customers, stakeholders, partners and external organisations.

Ultimately, you will demonstrate a commitment and enthusiasm to making a difference for residents, you will role model our values and will be an ambassador for the Council.  #BeTheDifference.
